Gone with the Wind

12-21 is Action Week against Racism. So, on Tuesday 15/03/16 the meeting of Reading Club was dedicated to reading of the extracts from an American novel by Margaret Mitchell “Gone with the Wind”. The events in the novel take place during the American Civil War and Reconstruction era – the war that aimed to abolish slavery, but did not stop racism. The club members read about the life of Southerners after the war and about Northerners negative feelings and attitudes towards the black people.
